Having made the England squad for this year’s Six Nations rugby extravaganza, and having made his 100th appearance for Gloucester to boot, its been quite a 2015 so far for 24 year old winger Jonny May.
However, Jonny May’s success can be traced back to 2012 when he one the very first LV= Breakthrough Player Award – an award designed to distinguish the next generation of sport’s stars. To win the award he beat current England team-mates George Ford and Jonathan Joseph, as well as Gloucester colleague Matt Kvesic and Welshmen Liam Williams and Matthew Morgan.
In this short film, we get an intimate insight into what drives the rugby player, how he has exceeded his own expectations, and how his stardom is met by his father.
This film was shot using the Freefly MoVI M15 using the Canon C300. Amongst our crew on the film, Karim Clarke camera operated, Paul Mackeson DOP’d, Tony Edmonds was on sound, and Bad Moods Ben edited/produced.
